What to do after a Kinesiology Session

After a Kinesiology session it’s a good idea to take it easy for the rest of the day to allow your energy to settle and balance. Rest and hydrate well, be gentle and kind to yourself, as well as nourishing and hydrating with good clean, food and water for at least 24-48hrs after, if not longer.

Keep in mind that any type of energy work gets things moving. This can potentially bring things to the surface and your body may react in ways that you’re not used to.

For up to a week after, things are moving and resettling into a new state of balance. You want to honour this process by giving yourself time to see how things shake out.


You may have an emotional release, if you do, try to go with it if you can if its safe and appropriate to do so. Have a good cry, stamp your feet, whatever you need to do. This should then resettle within a 24hrs of coming on and you will feel the positive benefits of this shift once you have released the unwanted emotional debris.


After a few days you will start to see the full benefits of rebalancing. Overall, you will generally feel calmer, clearer, more confident and tolerance levels will have increased, depending of course on what you’ve worked on. Many clients describe the feeling after "as if a weights been lifted", like "they're finally able to relax and clear their head". If we're working on physical issues, the change may be more physically evident, with reduced pain, discomfort, constriction and overall improved movement and range.
